My top 7 presents for your pets this Christmas
Reindeer ears, processed Christmas treats and plastic toys.
Scrap that.
I've got some great ideas for presents for your beloved furry family members.
Cat Scratchers
There are a gazillion different cat scratchers on the market today. The cat scratchers that get my thumbs up are made by South Paw Pets. They are 100% recyclable, eco-friendly, non-toxic and biodegradable. Unfortunately, South Paw Pets are closing down soon. There are similar products on the market, but not in my view to the standard of the South Paw Pets range. Fortunately, this is a great opportunity to take advantage of their great closing down prices. My cats are getting one each for Christmas this year :)
Antler dog chews
Antler dog chews are a great natural chew that keep teeth clean and healthy whilst providing a source of enrichment for your pup. The antlers are naturally shed by male deers each year at the end of the mating season. Available for purchase at Petstock, Nose 2 Tail and any of the Pet Cafés. A great safe alternative to rawhide chews.
Henry Hottie – the original thermal pet bed
Henry Hottie beds are my all time favourite bed for cats and dogs. They are comfortable, supportive, 100% per cent natural and they are recognised as a complete therapeutic pet bed - perfect for your dog or cat if they suffer from joint or muscle complaints. They even have a new organic hemp range. If you've missed the Christmas delivery cut off, don't worry, you can pick up directly from Morningside, Queensland. Henry Hottie beds are also sold at Chew Chomp and Chill.
Natural toys
Furry companions are exposed to a wide array of chemical contaminants, including those found in pet toys. Fortunately, there are a variety of pet toys on the market that are free from chemical contaminants. Chew Chomp and Chill, Nose 2 Tail and your local Pet Cafe stock a range of toys that are organic and sustainable. Check out the full product range in-store.
Treats
Why not treat your doggy companion to some natural and yummy treats! Our top pick for treats are Barking Obito. They have some great Christmas treats (as well as their standard fare) - just make sure you select the Express Post delivery option to get your doggy treats in time for Christmas!
Catty Stacks
Catty Stacks are designer cat climbers that are cheap, eco-friendly, modular and they are great fun for your cats. I have a few built up around my place and the cats love to play and sleep in them. Cats love boxes, right? Well these are boxes but with nifty holes in for your furry feline to crawl in and out of. There are a number of places online that sell them and some pet stores stock them. I bought mine at Pets Unleashed and Pet Cafe.
