Chaga for Pets!
Chaga is known as the King of Mushrooms. Can it help your dog or cat?
What is Chaga?
Whilst often thought of as a mushroom, it actually is a hardened mass of mycelium (fungal root structures) and wood lignans. And it's a parasite, feeding on its host, which are commonly birch trees. After some time feeding, it develops a hard canker like shape.
Active Compounds
Chaga contains a variety of active compounds:
polysaccharides
melanins
triterpenes
benzoic acid derivatives
ergosterols
sesquiterpene
hispidin
Benefits of Chaga
Due to the active compounds (combined with other supportive constituents found in Chaga), Chaga has been found to offer many benefits, including:
immunomodulating - balances the immune system

The synergy effect
When mushrooms are combined with other mushrooms, a greater therapeutic effect can be seen. This is because the mushrooms work synergistically together, they complement one another. This is true of a wide variety of plants. Other mushrooms that can support pet health include Reishi, Turkey Tail, Shiitake, Lion's Mane and Cordyceps.
